I am currently pondering over what edging to use on Austin’s Baby Blanket. Originally I was going to pick up stitches around the edges and knit a few inches in seed stitch, until it occurred to me that I’d need a really long circular needle (which I don’t have) or two medium long circular needles (which I don’t have two of the same size), and therefore decided I really wasn’t up to it. I mean, at this point, I’ve had it with this blanket. I just want to be done.
But of course I can’t be done because all these squares have been so meticulously sewn together and are just calling for a knitted edge to bring the whole darn thing together.
So the search continued, I pressed on, and I came across some knitted edge/trim patterns on Lion Brand’s website. Here are the runner-ups:
Nothing too fancy or flashy. Nothing lacy or holey – don’t want little baby fingers or toes to get caught…
As it stands now, I’m leaning towards the bias binding trim, but I’m in a pretty fickle mood today. Talk to me in ten minutes.
