Lust or Love? Definitely Love.

If you don’t know, I have a thing for musicians.  Coincidentally, My Guy is a musician, and I made a point of letting him know this very fact when we met on Match a year and a half ago.  Lucky for me, he interpreted this fact to mean I was creative and artsy and not some groupie bimbo.

Lust or Love

Well, I could not be more excited to report that My Guy’s solo project, Headphone Intercourse, has its first song, Lust or Love, on iTunes!  Headphone Intercourse, My Guy’s one-man-band, is featured on Electric Underground Volume 6, which was recently released on February 11, 2010.

Congrats to My Guy!  You’re such a sexy rock star!

Sclemeel, Schlemazel, Hasenfeffer Incorporated!

I had family come in from Phoenix (and to be honest, not just any family but my most favorite cousin and her wife) and we met up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (the land of good beer and plentiful cheese) for a few days before heading up to Fond du Lac to visit more family.  My cousin and I aren’t even blood related, and actually, we’re not even related by marriage anymore, but we’re closer than any two blood relatives can be and two peas in a pod when we’re together.  And when you throw in her spouse and My Guy, we make quite the group.  It was good times all around.

Yarn-&-Tea

Between going to the Harley Davidson Museum, eating at a great tapas restaurant called La Marenda, and visiting Anaba Tea Room - the cutest tea room I’ve ever been to - we managed to go to Loop, a yarn shop in Milwaukee.  I picked up 3 skeins of Spud & Chloe Outer in Sequoia.  I also picked up this delicious Maghreb Mint chai tea from Anaba.  Ooh, it’s so good.  Looking forward to a night of sipping chai and flipping through the Spring/Summer issue of Vogue Knitting.  I’m sure I’ll be posting my list of ooh’s and ah’s soon enough.

Beach Baby

I finished Austin’s baby blanket, which is appropriately named Beach Baby for its beachy colors and summery vibes:

I FINALLY settled on an edging and knit a 114” long I-cord and stitched it to the blanket’s edge.  I cannot express the relief I feel from having this blanket done.  I am elated.  Overjoyed.  In a tizzy.

Speaking of tizzies, I experienced quite the knitting fiasco late last night with the Brimster Beanie I’m working on for My Guy.  Too traumatized to rehash the details today.  Perhaps tomorrow when I’ve recovered.

BTW, I’m hoping to have the pattern up on the site soon, so keep your peepers peeled.
