Listening to the Crickets and The Happy Hooker

I’ve been in a bit of a knitting rut as of late, hence the “crickets” on the blog-front.  Not sure what it is, but I need to snap out of it and fast.  To tell you the truth, I’ve been working on a pattern submission for knitting e-zine.  I can’t say much more about the project, except that I’m frustrated beyond belief and ready to pull my hair out.

Which leads me to the hooking I’ve been up to.  And no, not that kind of hooking…

Happy Hooker

I decided to go back to my roots, where it all started, where I first caught the yarn bug nine years ago.  Crochet!!  Oh, Crochet, my first love, how I’ve missed you so!  From the moment I taught myself how to wield that hook and yarn into loops and ultimately fabric, it was love at first sight.

I’m crocheting the Fat-Bottom Bag, from Debbie Stoller’s Stitch ‘N Bitch Crochet book, in Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Almond.  A new crocheted accessory should be just what I need to get me out of my creative rut.
